Our Locations

David L. LandskovDavid L. Landskov, of Arlington, MA, passed away on September 1, 2024, at the age of 76. He was the loving father of Geoffrey Landskov and Erik Landskov, loving father-in-law of Allison Light and cherished grandfather of Avery Light Landskov and Lawrence Light Landskov, and dear friend and former spouse of DeAnne Dupont.

David was a retired professor from UMass Lowell, where he taught Computer Science for nearly a decade. He was known for his expertise in programming languages, compiler design, and systems programming. David also served as a Senior Software Engineer and Technical Trainer throughout his career, contributing significantly to the fields of software development and industrial standards. His work in developing and teaching courses at various institutions left a lasting impact on his students and colleagues.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, David was deeply committed to his community and his values. He was an active member of the First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church of Arlington and the Sustainable Arlington organization. A strong advocate for climate change awareness, David maintained a blog for many years, where he passionately shared news and insights on environmental issues.

The family is having a memorial service on November 3rd at 2 PM.  It will be held at First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church, 630 Massachusetts Ave, Arlington, MA.  A reception will follow.  You may join the service virtually via Zoom at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82663447978.
