Marion RizzoRizzo, Marion Rose (Scappi) of Arlington, passed away on September 13, 2023, at age 80, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with Alzheimers.

Devoted wife for 59 years of Alphonse E. Rizzo. Al and Marion were childhood sweethearts having met at a church dance at the age of 12.

Loving mother of Denise R. Cronin and her husband John, Alphonse M. Rizzo and his wife Susan.

Cherished grandmother of John and Elizabeth Cronin, Patrick and Michael Rizzo.

Beloved sister of the late Bernice Moore.

Also survived by many other loving relatives and friends.

Marion worked in the human resources department at Mt. Auburn Hospital in Cambridge for over 35 years. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Marion had a strong passion for her faith and served as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Eulalia Parish in Winchester for many years.

Visitation at the Rogers and Hutchins Funeral Home, 292 Massachusetts Avenue in Arlington on Monday, September 18, 2023, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.

Funeral mass at St. Eulalia Parish, 50 Ridge Street in Winchester on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at 11:00 am.

Those wishing to travel in procession to the church are welcome to meet at the funeral home at 10:00 am.

Interment will be at St. Paul Cemetery in Arlington.
