William T. Wambolt, “Bill”, of Arlington, formerly of Bedford and Somerville, passed away on May 27, 2018, at the age of 87 after a brief illness.  Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Kathleen and Clarence Wamboldt, his brother, James Wamboldt and sister, Laura Bell Wamboldt.  He is survived by his sister, Claire Parker and her husband Ken, of California and sister-in-law, Joyce Wamboldt, of Florida, as well as nieces, Michele, Suzette and Kim (of whom he was the Godfather), and nephews, Kevin and Paul, great-nieces, Megan and Emma, and great-nephews, Dakota, Colt and Tristan and great-great nephew, Colt, Jr.  He is also survived by his cousin, Richard Thomas, and his wife, Bonnie, and several other cousins and numerous friends.  Bill served proudly with the U.S. Army Military Police Corps during the Korean war.  He worked for many years as a certified public accountant and head of the accounting department at the Deaconess Hospital in Boston before his retirement.  Visiting hours will be at the Rogers & Hutchins Funeral Home, 292 Mass. Ave., Arlington, MA, on Friday, June 8, 2018, from 10:00 to 11:00 followed by a memorial service in the chapel of Rogers & Hutchins.  In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to the charity of your choice.
