Mrs. Mary E. McCarthy

McCarthy, Mary E. (Joyce), of Sudbury, formerly of Arlington, January 28^th, 2016 at age 95. Beloved wife of the late William J. McCarthy with whom she shared 54 years of marriage. Devoted mother of Rosemary Treacy, Anne Prendergast and her husband Tom, Larry Pope and his wife Donna all of Sudbury, and Tom Pope and his wife Trish of Marlborough. Cherished grandmother of 12 and great-grandmother of 9. Sister of Margaret Kennedy and her husband Al of Hampton Falls, NH, Joe Joyce and his wife Anne of Milton, Barbara McMakin of Buzzards Bay, and her dear sisters Anna and Kathleen Joyce who preceded her in death last year and the late Coleman, Martin, Evelyn and Bridgid. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Visiting hours at the Rogers & Hutchins Funeral Home, 292 Mass. Ave., Arlington on Saturday, January 30^th, 2016 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Agnes Church, 54 Medford St., Arlington at 11:00 am. Internment at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Arlington. Her family was the most important thing in her life. Whether you called her Mary, Mum, Carty, Grandmother or Mamo, she loved you first and foremost.
