Mrs. Elsie A. Reardon

Reardon, Elsie A (Rettig) of Arlington, died peacefully at her daughter’s home in Burlington on July 24^th, surrounded by her loving family after a long illness. Born in Quincy in 1921; then moving to Wolliston, where she & her brother & sister (Louis and Ida Rettig) attended school, in the winter loved to ice skate & the summers were spent at the beach.  She married Lawrence, her beloved husband of 37 years in 1952 and moved to Arlington where they raised 3 daughters. She worked for the Hellenic Chronicle Newspaper, which she loved for over 25 years as a proof reader & a bookkeeper. She is survived by her loving daughters, Marsha Pavao and her husband Edward, Diane Jorge and her husband Fred, Lori Legnon and her husband Justin, her grandchildren Jennifer, Michelle, Robert, Elena and Raymond, her great-grandchildren Shelby and Griffin and her nieces Cheryl Sullivan, Nancy Brown and Nephew David Rettig.  Visiting hours will be held at the Rogers & Hutchins funeral home, 292 Mass. Ave., Arlington, on Sunday, July 28^th, from 3 to 7 pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday morning at 10:00 am.  In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to The Make A Wish Foundation, 1 Bulfinch Place,  #201,  Boston, MA 02114
